A LOOK AT THE DEAD IN THE MIRROR

When you see them they do not look dead.
They have been dead 500 years but they look alive.

They walk and talk and eat and sleep everyday
as if they are not dead, as if they have true lives.

They have sex and have children, on and on they live the lie.
Each generation is born dead, born without honor, without warriors.

They are not true individuals, not true nations.
They are not true living people, they lack knowledge.

They lack knowledge and they do not want knowledge.
The world looks down on them, does not respect them.

They are almost like zombies, like the living dead.
They are almost like ghosts, like people from bad dreams.

Every night they are walked to their graves and are buried.
They do not understand their state of non-being, but they cry.

They obey when told to follow their masters to the graves every night.
They obey when they are put in their graves and buried.

They are ignorant of themselves and that is what makes them dead.
They are cowards and traitors to themselves, that makes them dead.

Their curse could be lifted with simple learning of the truth in the mirror.
Their curse would fall if they knew their true heritage, their warrior selves.

They are the fallen humans of a sort, the geniuses of mighty civilizations.
They are the heroes of legends, poisoned by deceit and a monstrous lie.

They can easily lift their curse by lifting a book, by reading an idea: liberation.
It just doesn't enter their heads, they seem incapable of opening a book.

So, every night they walk to their graves, dig their own graves,
and sing songs of slaves as the dirt buries them, smothers them.

But every morning they dig themselves out of their graves.
They go back into the world to serve as slaves of their masters.

They serve the parasitic vampire masters who feed off their blood.
They serve in silence, in submission, as cowards, with no dignity.

The end of the story is nowhere in sight, nowhere is it searched for.
The end of the story will never come, the dead will serve and be buried.

If you find yourself fitting the living dead, look in the mirror, in our history,
There you will find the words that will lift the curse of the European beasts.
