THE MEXICA MOVEMENT ( http://mexicamovement.blogspot.com/2016/04/introduction-to-materials-of-mexica.html) HAS A CAMPAIGN TO RAISE $8,000 DOLLARS TO HELP FINANCE A PILGRIMAGE TO STANDING ROCK DURING "THANKSGIVING" WEEK TO SUPPORT OUR WARRIOR PROTESTERS AT THE NOW-SACRED STANDING ROCK
PURPOSE OF PILGRIMAGE:
Mexica Movement and its scholar warriors will be traveling "Thanksgiving" week in pilgrimage, to join in the protests by our people's warriors at Standing Rock.
We will be giving financial, material support, and moral support. We will also participate in protests, and help with motivation by educating all of our people there on our collective history and identity.
While there, we will work to educate our people on our Nican Tlaca (Indigenous) collective identity and the need for unity amongst our people, without borders of language or colonialism, and without the divisions of the tribal and urban settings of our people.
The issues here are more than just about "Water Is Life." There are more genocidal issues like the broken treaties, the disrespect for our people all across this continent, and the need to assert our rights to our lands and our resources that are now in the possession of European squatters all across our continent. We need to stop this theft. And we also need to stop their rape of our lands, their poisoning of our rivers and lakes, and their destruction of the forests that provide the air we breath.
