TRUTH IS HARD TO SEE, HARD TO ACCEPT, HARD TO LIVE
UNDER COLONIALISM: fear is how we wake and how we live and how we die.
UNDER COLONIALISM: we will always have more traitors than we will ever have heroes.
UNDER COLONIALISM: they promote music: it keeps us from being thinkers.
UNDER COLONIALISM: they promote sports to us: sports keep us from being thinkers.
UNDER COLONIALISM: they will promote the church: to keep us from being warriors.
UNDER COLONIALISM: they will always promote gangs: because they destroy our people.
UNDER COLONIALISM: they will never tell the truth of how they stole our lands.
UNDER COLONIALISM: Europeans get to rob us of our wealth while leaving us poor.
UNDER COLONIALISM: Europeans will continue to get wealthy off of our lands.
UNDER COLONIALISM: our people will always (wrongly) feel less than Europeans.
UNDER COLONIALISM: we will never be fully human or fully Nican Tlaca.
UNDER COLONIALISM: genocide will continue until we are totally exterminated.
UNDER COLONIALISM: We will always live under European culture and white supremacy.
Truth and justice do not just come up one day suddenly with the sun;
they have to be demanded, they have to be struggled for,
they have to be worked on, defined, measured,
and installed equally into the reality of all our people.
If we do not complain against our oppression by Europeans
and their theft of our continent and its wealth of resources,
then we are giving away our freedom,
and their theft of our continent and its wealth of resources,
then we are giving away our freedom,
giving away our lands and wealth,
and we are accepting our slavery, genocide, and extermination
in a most cowardly and dishonorable way.
