We live artificial lives as foreigners on our own lands.

We have lived artificial poverty and ignorance for 500 years of colonialism.
We live as virtual slaves, without our own warriors or our own history.
We live in a form of death that does not allow our authentic selves to live.
We live as a lost people, as orphans without authenticity in identity.
We live divided as full-blood and mixed-blood.
We live divided by artificial borders and artificial languages.
We are not the Hispanics or Latinos that we are labeled.
We are Nican Tlaca, descendants of great civilizations and cities.
We are a people capable of being free from Europeans, but we fail to free ourselves.
The names we have are not real, not indicating a real lineage to Europe.
The Spanish names we have are slave names given in haciendas, as property of Spaniards.
The European languages are artificially forced on us.
The Eurocentric attitudes and ways we hate our people are imposed.
The blond hair dyes, colored contacts, skin bleachers, make for a fake people.
The Christianity, sports, drugs, gangs, music are all not a part of who we are.
All of our lives are lies, artificially made to fool us, to keep us as fools.
